Data Engineer / Data System Specialist

Proclinical is seeking a Data Engineer / Data System Specialist to join a dynamic data and analytics team in Penang, Malaysia. This role involves working within a global IT environment, focusing on data warehousing, ETL development, and data governance. You will play a crucial part in ensuring data integrity and supporting business operations through effective data management and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the data warehouse to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Implement data warehousing concepts and architecture.
• Integrate data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes.
• Build and maintain dynamic and complex ETL processes.
• Design and create data models for efficient querying and reporting.
• Ensure data systems perform efficiently and monitor query performance.
• Implement data governance policies and ensure data security.
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business users.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency in data warehousing, data engineering, or business intelligence development.
• Experience with SQL, data integration, and data modeling.
• Skilled in MS SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SQL, MS SQL Database, Azure DevOps, and data integration tools.
• Familiarity with Power BI, ServiceNow, Qlik, Tableau, C, C++, C#, Python, or R is beneficial.
• Understanding of Ralph Kimball methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and models.
• Fluent in English.
• Microsoft certifications in relevant areas are preferred.
• Self-starter with a principled approach and drive to contribute positively to the organization.
