UK - Assistant Scientist

Proclinical is seeking an Assistant Scientist to support the analysis of stability and formulation development samples for solid oral drug product development and commercialization. In this role, you will utilize various analytical techniques to contribute to experimental design, problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse drug product samples using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, KF, and Dissolution.
• Critically assess analytical results to improve method robustness and enhance understanding of drug product quality attributes.
• Conduct and evaluate developmental stability experiments to guide formulation design and packaging selection.
• Review and present analytical findings both orally and in written formats.
• Collaborate within analytical project teams to support stability and formulation development activities.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC, Dissolution, and KF; experience with GC is advantageous.
• Ability to execute and document scientific experiments and clearly communicate results.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire for scientific growth.
• Effective collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of analytical method development and validation requirements (as per ICH guidelines) is a plus.
• Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment and automation is desirable.
• A degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences (BS/MS) with relevant industry experience in core analytical techniques.
