Materials Control Technician - Contract - Acton, MA

Proclinical is seeking a Materials Control Technician to support operations at a medical device manufacturing site in Acton, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely transfer of components between the warehouse and cleanroom, adhering to standard operating procedures and quality system requirements. This position operates during core business hours and involves 12-hour shifts, with flexibility required based on business needs.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • No previous experience required, will be trained.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Keen eye for quality.
  • Will work collaboratively within a team and possess a positive attitude.
  • Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day.
  • Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally.
  • Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.

The Materials Control Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks.
  • Complete all assigned QMS training and keep up to date before performing a task.
  • Operate systems and equipment such as computers, software, and printers as trained and specified.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as manual pallet jacks for pallet movement and Plastic Baler.
  • Maintains work areas and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition.
  • Able to replenish the Material Control Room and prepare components for transfer to the clean room based on Kanban System.
  • Accurate and timely ERP System (SAP) transaction of any material movement performed to support Kanban System.
  • Prompt response to handheld portable two-way radio transceiver.
  • Proper End of Shift tasks including but not limited to, emptying all trash bins, and accurate packaging of empty trays.
  • Performs other duties as required.
