Study Director - Immunobiology | Adelaide, SA | Full Time
Looking for your next Clinical Study role where you can take ownership of analysis in a laboratory environment?
Proclinical is seeking an experienced Study Director - Immunobiology (Level 2) to take end-to-end ownership of immunobiology-based validations and sample analyses within a GLP-regulated environment.
This is a senior scientific role with genuine regulatory accountability. You will be responsible for study integrity, timeline delivery, and client communication across a technically demanding portfolio, while also playing an active role in mentoring and developing junior Study Directors within the team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking full responsibility for immunobiology-based validations and sample analyses
- Setting and managing study timelines in line with client and business requirements
- Serving as the primary scientific contact for clients and CROs across your study portfolio
- Ensuring GLP compliance and scientific integrity through review of all study runs
- Identifying and managing out-of-scope work and financial milestones
- Troubleshooting scientific issues in collaboration with R&D, operations, and management
- Supporting the transition of methods from development into validation and sample analysis
- Mentoring and training Level 1 Study Directors
- Acting as Deputy Study Director and/or Deputy Principal Investigator where required
What We're Looking For
- Degree in life sciences
- Minimum 5 years' experience in regulated bioanalysis within a pharma or CRO environment
- Minimum 1 year's experience as a Study Director
- Strong experience with flow cytometry assay validation and sample analysis
- Strong experience with PCR-based assay validation and sample analysis
- Strong client-facing communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage high-level scientific discussions
- Proven ability to deliver studies on time with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with cell culture-based assay validation desirable
- Watson LIMS experience advantageous
