Staff Scientist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a Staff Scientist to join the antibody discovery team in Wilmington, DE. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in antibody purification and a passion for advancing immuno-oncology research.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting early-stage discovery programs by purifying and qualifying antibody samples. In this role, you will also maintain laboratory equipment, document your work meticulously, and contribute to optimizing workflows.
Skills & Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with antibody purification and characterization methods such as SDS-PAGE, CE-SDS, SEC, and Western Blotting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced biotech environment with flexibility and enthusiasm.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Experience with liquid handling automation or high-throughput purification automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques for sterile protein purification is a plus.
The Staff Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Plan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments.
- Execute purification workflows using various chromatographic techniques.
- Conduct buffer exchange, quality control, and characterization of purified samples.
- Manage a high volume of purification samples with precision and attention to detail.
- Troubleshoot and optimize purification workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure adequate supplies are available.
