Sr principal Biostatistician

Proclinical is working alongside a seeking a Principal Biostatistician (Snr.) for a contract role, with the possibility of remote work within the country. This position focuses on statistical work for clinical trials, requiring collaboration with clinical teams and leading statistical activities for drug development projects.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all statistical tasks for assigned clinical trials, especially those of mid- to high complexity, with peer review as needed.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and oversee study and indication-level reporting activities.
• Plan and execute exploratory analyses to support publications, implementing novel methods like machine learning and data visualization.
• Explain statistical methodologies and interpret analysis results, providing expertise to support team meetings and external interactions.
• Represent the Biostatistics Line Function on cross-functional teams, ensuring functional alignment and awareness.
• Collaborate with other functions, explaining statistical concepts to non-statisticians and providing justifications for decisions.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships within the Clinical Trial and Biostatistics teams.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all Biostatistics deliverables for assigned trials and activities.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Statistics or equivalent, with relevant work experience.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with statistical software packages such as SAS and R.
• Knowledge of drug development processes and Health Authority guidelines.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence decisions impacting trial and project objectives.
• Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
