Ready to drive medical breakthroughs that make a difference in this service manager position?
Proclinical is seeking a Service Manager to oversee and manage field service operations in the DACH region. This role involves leading a team of field service engineers and administrative staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence. You will play a key role in managing service requests, optimizing processes, and fostering collaboration across teams. This position requires travel and offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing international division.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of field service engineers and administrative support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, mentoring and training team members.
- Oversee scheduling to ensure timely responses and maximum utilization of resources.
- Ensure engineers are trained across the product portfolio to support local market needs.
- Manage the end-to-end process for all service requests, including lifecycle management.
- Communicate with customers, subsidiaries, and distributors to resolve order and documentation issues.
- Establish effective communication between local customers, call centers, and internal teams.
- Report system failures for quality purposes and manage contract renewals for direct customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align on pipeline and ensure timely deliveries and installations.
- Monitor and manage local inventory in line with company policies.
- Provide support for events, meetings, and general business service needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in managing field service operations, preferably in a complex or fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and Salesforce systems.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 45 pounds and working in environments with potential exposure to mechanical parts or chemicals.
