Senior System Test Engineer - Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Proclinical is recruiting for a Senior System Test Engineer for our client based in Baden-Württemberg to take the lead on testing strategies and verification processes for advanced technology products in the life sciences sector. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary development team, working from concept stage through to formal product validation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on lab work with process ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and oversee system level test strategies, create structured plans, and coordinate execution in line with project timelines.
• Carry out lab-based testing, interpret results, and provide feedback to improve prototypes and systems.
• Document and analyse experimental data, ensuring findings are clearly communicated.
• Collaborate with engineering and scientific colleagues to design meaningful experiments.
• Drive formal verification and validation activities in compliance with relevant standards.
• Support the development of templates, processes, and best practices for testing.

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar).
• Several years of experience in system level testing for life science devices.
• This is not a software testing position.
• Strong knowledge of lab methods, test design, and system integration.
• Practical experience with complex technical systems or automated processes.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
