Senior Scientist, Translational Development

At Proclinical, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Senior Scientist of Translational Development, based in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will lead assay development, validation and execution activities to evaluate clinical samples from ongoing trials. Additional duties will include contributing to management of external testing with contract research organizations, drafting relevant sections of internal protocol and documents, and providing subject matter expertise to internal strategic decisions related to the bioanalytical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct GCP/GLP clinical study sample analysis, under the direction of the laboratory head, using a variety of assay formats such as PCR, Western blot, IHC and NGS.
• Take a lead role in the development and validation of fit-for-purpose bioanalytical methods for one or more clinical stage program(s).
• Maintain compliant laboratory records and relevant technical records.
• Document and present complex scientific concepts and findings to a diverse functional group.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives.

Skills And Qualifications

• PhD or MS degree in a relevant scientific area with 4+ years of experience in bioanalytical assay design and development.
• Extensive working knowledge of biomedical research methodologies and current state-of-the art genetic analysis techniques.
• Hands-on experience in molecular bioanalytical methods including quantitative PCR and next generation sequencing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on technical writing.
