Proclinical is seeking a Plant Engineer (Utilities) to join a dynamic team in Switzerland. In this role, you will focus on planning and executing projects, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient operation of plant utilities. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, collaboration, and maintaining compliance with GMP standards.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute small-scale projects, including process engineering calculations and optimizations.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new or existing plants, including cost estimates, timelines, and functionality assessments.
- Perform risk analyses, operational tests, and conversions while providing departmental support.
- Ensure expert and economical maintenance to maintain plant availability, collaborating closely with authorities.
- Utilize SAP for order placement, technical-commercial evaluations, and capacity planning to optimize plant and personnel deployment.
- Monitor and adhere to budgets for maintenance, conversions, and investments within your area of responsibility.
- Update and verify plant documentation, such as flow charts, zone and installation plans, and parts lists, in line with GMP standards.
- Support training for plant teams and workshop personnel on process and plant knowledge, safety, hygiene, environment, quality, and cGMP.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A technical college degree (FH-HF) will also be considered.
- Experience in Biotech or Pharma production is preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP, COMOS Plant Engineering Software, and SAP is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, with strong collaboration skills.
- Structured, focused, and well-organized work approach.
- Open to new insights and committed to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in German is required; English language skills are an advantage.
