Phlebotomist - Contract - Part-time - Carmel, NY

Proclinical is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a dedicated team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves working 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for extended hours. The primary focus will be on specimen collection and patient interaction.

Skills & Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOP.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to perform maintenance and quality control on testing equipment.
Proficiency in preparing and packaging specimens for shipping.

The Phlebotomist's responsibilities will be:

Greet and identify patients according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
Obtain billing and testing information as per SOP.
Review test requisitions for proper test collection.
Assemble necessary equipment for specimen collection.
Collect specimens for drug testing following SOP and order of the draw.
Match requisitions to collection tubes for completion.
Centrifuge specimens when necessary.
Perform maintenance and quality control on test kits and urinalysis equipment.
Prepare and package specimens for shipping to testing locations according to SOP.
Handle customer service duties, including phone inquiries and patient encounters.
Collect patient payments as per SOP.
