Inventory Control Specialist - Contract - Philadelphia, PA
Job Description:
Proclinical is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and integrity within a facility. In this role, you will focus on optimizing space utilization, monitoring product movement, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This position is integral to maintaining efficient order fulfillment and contributing to a safe and organized working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control inventory integrity.
- Maintain product identification and location systems.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Lead physical inventories, cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
- Track and report non-conforming products.
- Document and manage aged or damaged products.
- Ensure timely labeling and compliance with inventory accuracy metrics.
- Coordinate efforts across departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Train staff in inventory control techniques as needed.
- Assist warehouse employees and logistics staff when required.
- Contribute to departmental goals and overall operations.
- Perform tasks in compliance with regulations, international standards, and company policies.
- Support adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Proficiency in computer skills, including email and spreadsheets; experience with Great Plains preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping systems such as FedEx, UPS, and World Courier.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical capability to stand, sit, walk, lift up to 65 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable working in environments with biohazards, chemicals, and variable noise levels.
- Commitment to compliance with FDA and worldwide quality regulations.
