A job vacancy for a Global Head of Sales Excellence has arisen at a leading global pharmaceutical company specialising in the development of biological therapies. This vacancy is based in Geneva. This company is one of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies that operates in 140 countries worldwide and has market leading products in multiple therapy areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high standards of Sales Force execution and operational excellence, through continuous monitoring of sales productivity, effectiveness and quality, on the ground direct coaching of sales leaders
  • Create sales analytic platform/capability to enable optimal resource deployment and execution tracking
  • Develop and implement global sales training program, incl. definition and refinement of AAA sales model, creation of content and training materials in collaboration with brand teams, leading training sessions
  • Co-develop new commercialization strategies through working closely with other functions, and countries, supporting specific business initiatives and the overall AAA business Strategy.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to countries to develop and implement robust innovative execution approaches with frameworks, tools and processes to ensure business success.
  • Enhance the various competencies across all levels of the Sales & KAM organization including competitive selling, and account management
  • Collaborate with global franchise teams to create and shape innovative promotional sales materials aligned with the customer solutions model
  • Ensure Sales Launch readiness through sales launch standards, assessment and action planning.
  • Facilitate and actively promote sharing of best practices and influence their adoption across countries
  • Energizing FF engagement and motivation across countries
  • Build a high-performance sales culture including through people development, coaching culture and industry leading incentives/rewards.

Skills and Requirements:

  • University Degree (Science, preferred, Economics); MBA is desirable.
  • English fluent spoken & written; any other European language is an advantage.
  • Experience (> 10 years) in the industry, specifically Sales Force experience in driving high impact initiatives and implementation, strategic planning, strong Marketing, and Market Access & Medical understanding.
  • Track record of highly successful delivery and positive performance results.
  • Excellent project/process management skills.
  • Good understanding of market research methods and processes.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
