An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director, Global Business Development in Switzerland. In this role you will be expected to take ownership of projects, working cross functionally to ensure the delivery of projects are on time.
Job Responsibilities
- All tasks described below have Global scope
- Manages In licensing deals from initiation until execution of negotiations with identified 3rd party suppliers for opportunities considering the best deal type most favourable timelines (first-to-market), quality and commercial terms
- Scout and identify new business development opportunities to expand the existing Portfolio
- Drive and lead the Commercial evaluation of external IL-opportunities
- Support the negotiation of Licensing Agreements to close the deal
- Prepare briefings and business cases for management approval
- Manage existing alliances and establish long-term professional relationships with potential partners
- Support the partner intelligence system developed by BD team
- Represent at industry conventions and conferences
- Monitor the market, competitors, and trends in business space
- Generate and collect new project ideas (patent expiry, gap analysis, external offers, life cycle management etc.) and valuate them as an input in the decision process
Skills and Requirements
- Degree in business or equivalent, scientific background is a plus
- Science, Finance, Legal, Negotiation
- Good communication skills
- Persistence, being open minded, being goal oriented,
- Being able to work and lead in a matrix environment
- Can speak both English and French
