Proclinical is working alongside a Digital Health copmany seeking a dedicated Data Scientist to join our team. This role is integral to our product development process, working closely with various company functions to achieve our business objectives. The successful candidate will work with our developers and commercial staff to translate business objectives, product development strategies, and customer requirements into our products and services. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with healthcare data, implement machine learning algorithms, and contribute to research in the field of human health.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with databases containing healthcare data.
- Structure, normalize, extract, transform, analyze, aggregate and visualize the data.
- Implement data analysis and visualization methods optimal for specific research and product development targets.
- Profile and optimize database performance.
- Implement and run machine learning algorithms.
- Obtain, prepare and deploy datasets for machine learning.
- Carry out statistical analysis, build and manage databases and their interfaces to carry out research activity in the field of human health.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to build scalable database architectures and interfaces to satisfy. Product Requirements Specifications.
- Prototype data analysis pipelines and data storage and analysis architectures.
- Develop production code while maintaining highest standards and practices of software development.
- Implement and maintain systems and software architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization under ISO data security, medical device and HIPAA design controls.
- Ensure that development is performed with clean, well-commented, and well-tested code that follows data governance policies.
- Implement security methods for user and device authentication and authorization, as well as robust encryption and other security mechanisms.
- Provide development and production status updates to project leaders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in STEM.
Experience in working with databases, programming and statistics.
Experience with analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal dense and sparse data.
Experience in implementing and optimizing data architectures and access and analysis methods.
Deep understanding of database architectures and operation.
Good command of statistical methods or mathematical optimization methods with ability to implement them in software.
Familiarity with the field of human biology and medicine.
Comfort with development of server-side cloud-based software.
Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities.
