Sr. Protein Chemist

Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Senior Protein Chemist with a global CRO located in Buffalo, NY. As the Senior Protein Chemist, you will manage projects including molecular cloning, protein expression, protein purification, crystallization and analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a team lead for the Protein Chemist group.
• Oversee 3 direct reports.
• Interface with external vendors and clients, managing projects in the field of protein chemistry including molecular cloning, protein expression, protein purification, crystallization and analysis.

Skills and Requirements:

• PhD and 3+ years of experience in the field of protein chemistry or MS and 6+ years of similar experience.
• Protein Expression/Analysis experience is required.
• Protein Crystallization experience is highly preferred.
• Client facing experience, and strong communication skills.
• Laboratory/personnel management experience.
