Sr Accountant - Contract - Cambridge MA

Are you looking to make an impact with your innovation? We are working with a well establish pharmaceutical company to recruit for a Senior Accountant.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities, and maintaining compliance with internal controls. Your expertise in handling large datasets and advanced Excel functions will be crucial for this role.

Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification.
• Experience in accounting, with familiarity in Big 4 public accounting.
• Proficiency in posting journal entries, preferably using SAP S4/HANA ERP system.
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.

The Senior Accountant's responsibilities will be:

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports.
• Work with large datasets in Excel, utilizing advanced functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
