Sr Accountant - Contract - Cambridge MA

Are you looking to make an impact with your innovation? We are working with a well establish pharmaceutical company to recruit for a Senior Accountant.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities, and maintaining compliance with internal controls. Your expertise in handling large datasets and advanced Excel functions will be crucial for this role.

Skills & Requirements:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification.
Experience in accounting, with familiarity in Big 4 public accounting.
Proficiency in posting journal entries, preferably using SAP S4/HANA ERP system.
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.

The Senior Accountant's responsibilities will be:

Prepare and post journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations and flux analysis.
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports.
Work with large datasets in Excel, utilizing advanced functions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
