Proclinical is currently partnered with a Fleet Manufacturing company looking to hire a Senior Software Test Engineer to join their Product Software Development team. The ideal candidate will provide quality leadership on new product project teams responsible for the development of our digital products and integrated electric vehicle software systems.
As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert in requirements gathering, facilitating software risk assessments, defining test strategies, and guiding project teams on design controls and defect analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development and testing of Digital Products and integrated Vehicle Software, including backend systems related quality assurance.
- Provide leadership, guidance and expertise on the software development process, procedures, and practices. Enhance processes to better reflect state of the art practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with engineering to refine requirements, and to ensure that architecture/ design documents are comprehensive.
- Facilitate the documentation and tracking of verification activities, including code review findings.
- Review test case execution results and manage defects.
- Facilitate software risk assessment sessions and own the development of risk documents. Support regulatory compliance and registrations.
- Support internal and external audits or inspections of our digital products and processes and own
- Non-conformances or CAPAs and drive root cause investigations.
- Train and mentor new engineers and lower-level quality engineers.
- Provide expertise in applicable industry standards and regulations such as ISO 26262.
- Provide technical support for audits of software suppliers and software consultants.
- He/she will be required to know, understand, incorporate, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the company's business activities and policies.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems preferred.
- Demonstrated regulated industry experience in a quality, new product development, or manufacturing engineering capacity.
- Prior experience leading, coaching and mentoring other engineers or project core team members.
- Confirmed ability to lead, synchronize, and motivate personnel both within and outside immediate control to meet goals and objectives.
- The ability to utilise written and oral communication skills to meet departmental goals/objectives.
- Demonstrable experience scripting or programming in Python, Shell/BASH scripting, Java, C/C++, C*, or other languages and strong experience in writing scripts and proficiency in any programming language to write and automate test cases.
- Experience formulating end to end test strategies for the company's s applications Select and implement tools for automated testing.
- Design and develop automated test cases for UI, restful APIs, and critical parts of the data pipeline.
- Maintain and execute test plans for aspects of the product that require manual testing.
- Define test objectives and collaborate with engineering team to build goals.
- Strong skills to verify the data stored in the various data environments such as bucket, S/4 Hana, elastic search and postgresql database, neo4j, etc.
- Perform moderate-to-complex functional, integration, system, regression, code coverage and performance testing.
- Demonstrable experience writing and executing QA test plans for backend testing.
- Strong experience working with one or more automated backend testing tools.
- Strong skill set in SQL to query and REST interface interaction to query and validate data.
- Familiarity with CI tools and version control systems and code coverage / technical debt management.
- Experience with Quality Management Solutions (i.e. Master Control, Trackwise, etc.) and integrated software quality tools (i.e. Xray, Testrail, Zephir, etc).
