Senior Software Engineer - Permanent - Mansfield, MA

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on developing innovative solutions in the life sciences industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills while making a meaningful impact on healthcare advancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of core modules for a cutting-edge data integration and analytics cloud platform.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proficiency in software design and development using the Microsoft technology stack, including C# and ASP.NET MVC.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, SQL queries, data modeling, and design (preferably with Microsoft SQL Server).
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Familiarity with software design principles, patterns, and practices.
• Ability to write optimized, maintainable, and high-performing code.
• Strong documentation skills for creating relevant software documents.
• Experience working in test-driven design environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred experience in the life sciences industry or with clinical trial data.
• Experience with data visualizations in SaaS products, microservices, distributed systems, and AWS technologies is a plus.
• Strong experience with SQL stored procedures, functions, and database optimization is a plus.

The Senior Software Engineer's responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy interactive, data-driven web applications.
• Apply best practices in software development, focusing on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Design and implement unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Work closely with the Software Quality Assurance team to ensure system functionality.
• Provide diagnostic support and resolve defects as needed.
• Offer technical support for existing product releases.
• Contribute to software documentation, including feature descriptions, acceptance criteria, design documents, and release notes.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers in test-driven design to create test cases for new features.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
