Senior Research Associate for Cell Biology - Contract - Palo Alto, CA
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Research Associate for a six-month contract role.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be primarily focused on iPSC cell culture, with a particular emphasis on neural differentiation work. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to life science research and work in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree with significant hands-on experience in life science research, or a Master's degree with a solid background in the same field.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following fields: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Aging.
- Practical experience in lab research techniques including DNA/RNA/protein extraction, qPCR, western blot, Flow Cytometry, Confocal microscopy, and immunofluorescence staining.
- Hands-on experience with iPSC, particularly with neural differentiation work.
- Experience with organoid handling.
The Senior Research Associate for Cell Biology's responsibilities will be:
- Plan and execute molecular and cell biological assays, including data collection, analysis, and sharing results with the internal team.
- Cultivate and maintain mammalian cell lines.
- Regularly interface with lead scientific staff to present, organize, coordinate, and execute experimental work.
- Foster collaboration with internal groups and maintain an organized lab space according to our standards of excellence.
