Senior IT Support Engineer

Proclinical is recruiting for a Senior IT Support Engineer to provide exceptional technical support. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on end-user support and service desk operations. The position is based in Belgium and offers a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Windows, Linux, and Mac systems.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Intune, Jamf, and Ubuntu Landscape.
• Install, configure, and maintain network components such as firewalls, VPN/ZTNA, IPSEC, switches, DNS, DHCP, and Meraki WIFI.
• Ensure network integrity and security through internal backups, access controls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues.
• Monitor system performance for optimal operation and security.
• Research and recommend improvements for networked computer and cloud-based server systems.
• Document IT infrastructure, assets, and processes for employee use.
• Set up employee accounts and IT requirements.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in IT systems (Windows, Linux, Mac) and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Office 365, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience in corporate IT support roles with a focus on end-user support.
• Familiarity with networks, databases, and patch management.
• Strong understanding of security issues and prevention methods.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workloads and IT projects.
• Innovative thinker adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
