Senior ICT System Specialist

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Senior ICT System Specialist to manage the life-cycle of middleware server infrastructures. This role focuses on configuring, operating, and monitoring IT platforms based on Linux, with an emphasis on continuous development and optimization. The successful candidate will be required to implement CI/CD pipelines, integrate virtualization and container technologies, and ensure system stability through effective monitoring and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the life-cycle of middleware server infrastructures.
• Configure, operate, and monitor Linux-based IT platforms.
• Continuously develop Linux platforms and IT systems.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and integration.
• Integrate virtualization and container technologies, as well as monitoring and DevOps tools.
• Conduct fault analyses, troubleshoot issues, and provide 1st and 2nd level support.
• Analyze optimization potentials and participate in the continuous improvement process (CIP).
• Create and maintain documentation for CI/CD frameworks and tools.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Background in computer science or equivalent vocational training.
• Experience with Linux, ideally Oracle Linux, RedHat, and SLES.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Kubernetes, Splunk, Python, and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with MS-IIS, Apache, IBM WebSphere Application Server, and WebSphere Liberty is a plus.
• Conscientious, proactive, and quality-focused work ethic.
• Independent and precise working style.
• Proficiency in German; knowledge of French and English (Level B2) is advantageous.
• Category B driving license is a plus.
• Military experience as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is a plus.
