Senior Data Engineer

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Data Engineer who will be instrumental in designing and developing a new data platform in the Azure Cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating data models, organizing and structuring data assets using modern cloud and big data technologies, and developing transformation and data integration workflows. This role involves working closely in an agile environment and taking responsibility for specific topics such as EDW, data lake, or data architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the design and development of a new data platform in the Azure Cloud.
• Create data models according to the requirements and use cases of data analytics.
• Organize and structure data assets using modern cloud and big data technologies.
• Connect data sources and develop transformation and data integration workflows.
• Work closely in an agile environment with responsibility for specific topics such as EDW, data lake, or data architecture.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Technical/university degree in computer science or comparable training.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies (ideally in the Azure Cloud with Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Event Hub, and Azure DevOps).
• Solid knowledge of data modeling, data storage, and data access techniques with experience in big data architectures and integration models.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, Java or Scala, and SQL.
• Experience with decentralized systems and mastery of tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam.
• Fluency in German.
