Proclinical is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and motivated cell/molecular PhD biologist to join a growing team. You can join a team applying cutting edge technology towards the discovery, characterization, and optimization of small molecule therapeutics towards targets representing high, unmet medical needs. The successful candidate will work independently within a team to define and evaluate target dependency hypotheses, validate small molecule leads, and help identify preclinical models representative of target patient populations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Independently design and execute experiments to assess mechanism and small molecule modulation of targets, enabling hit identification and validation.
  • Work in our state-of-the-art laboratory and utilize your skills in molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, si/shRNA, qPCR, western blotting, protein expression, immunostaining, and pharmacological modulation of targets.
  • Identify preclinical models that reflect patient pathology and develop assays to use these models in the drug discovery process.
  • Interpret, summarize, and present research findings at internal and external scientific meetings/conferences. Clear communication of your results to biologists and multidisciplinary colleagues is a must.
  • Proactively review literature to apply the newest scientific findings, methods, and technologies to our programs.

Skills and Requirements:

  • You have earned a Ph.D. and 1-3 years post-doctoral training in cell/molecular biology, genetics, or pharmacology.
  • You have proven track record of excellence as evidenced by high impact, peer reviewed publications.
  • You have a solid skill set in molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • You can thrive in a dynamic environment, are detail oriented, and are a problem-solver; a strong work ethic and high-level motivation are required.
  • You can work collaboratively within an energetic, matrixed research organization.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation, and inter-personal skills.
  • You are eager to deepen the understanding of the small molecule drug discovery process.

If you are having difficulty in applying or if you have any questions, please contact Max Robinson at (+1) 857-362-9542 or m.robinson@proclinical.com.
