Proclinical is currently seeking a Senior Scientist for our client located in San Carlos, CA, which develops machines that uncover high-resolution information from single cell. Successful candidate will be responsible for exploring applications and conducting proof of concept experiments using image-based cell sorting technology in collaboration with team members and collaborators.

Job Responsibilities

Carrying out proof of principle experiments and laboratory projects, hardware and software evaluations, and testing.
Participating in new product development, new product evaluations, and prototype testing projects.
Conducting collaborative research with external institutes.
Writing academic papers and poster presentations.
Creating and reviewing technical materials including application notes, SOP and presentations.

Skills and Requirements

PhD in Biology or related field. Strong background working in cell analysis is required.
Strong hands-on laboratory experience in cell biology or molecular biology related field is preferred.
Academic and technical writing and presentation skills.
Experience in flow cytometry and cell sorting, including operating software, analysis of data and reporting.
Demonstrate academic and technical writing and presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, apply broad knowledge and experience to address complex issues.
Display flexibility, independence, and initiative to perform successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent organizational skills, international communication skills, and technical writing ability.
Able to travel internationally (a few times a year).
