SC.AS.Senior Scientist, Ghost Cytometry

Proclinical is currently seeking a Senior Scientist for our client located in San Carlos, CA, which develops machines that uncover high-resolution information from single cell. Successful candidate will be responsible for exploring applications and conducting proof of concept experiments using image-based cell sorting technology in collaboration with team members and collaborators.

Job Responsibilities

• Carrying out proof of principle experiments and laboratory projects, hardware and software evaluations, and testing.
• Participating in new product development, new product evaluations, and prototype testing projects.
• Conducting collaborative research with external institutes.
• Writing academic papers and poster presentations.
• Creating and reviewing technical materials including application notes, SOP and presentations.

Skills and Requirements

• PhD in Biology or related field. Strong background working in cell analysis is required.
• Strong hands-on laboratory experience in cell biology or molecular biology related field is preferred.
• Academic and technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience in flow cytometry and cell sorting, including operating software, analysis of data and reporting.
• Demonstrate academic and technical writing and presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, apply broad knowledge and experience to address complex issues.
• Display flexibility, independence, and initiative to perform successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, international communication skills, and technical writing ability.
• Able to travel internationally (a few times a year).
