Sample Management Scientist

Sample Management Scientist - Contract - Wilmington, DE

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Sample Management Scientist. This is a contract position located in Wilmington, DE.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role focuses on laboratory and sample inventory management, including the organization and inventory of sample collections. The successful candidate will also assist in vessel reformatting processes, which will involve manual pipetting and liquid handling automation operation. This role requires direct communication with internal teams and assistance with lab deliverables in a fast-paced and highly interactive environment.

Skills & Requirements:

• AS (or equivalent laboratory experience) in Biology/Chemistry/Life Sciences.
• Experience in compound management/sample logistics is desirable.
• Working knowledge of technologies commonly used in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with liquid handling automation is desirable.
• Comfortable with working in proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat).
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work productively in teams as well as independently.

The Sample Management Scientist will:

• Organize physical sample and lab consumables inventory.
• Manually manipulate vessels with caps, plates with cap mats and seals, latch racks.
• Maintain organization and record keeping.
• Perform data entry and review utilizing Excel.
• Communicate effectively with project team members about project status.
