Safety Officer Utilities Operations

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to manage and oversee the work permit process, ensuring all safety regulations are met. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing risk control measures to maintain a safe working environment. This position requires collaboration with various teams to promote a proactive safety culture and provide necessary safety guidance and training.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the work permit process, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Issue work permits after evaluating risks to meet stringent safety requirements.
• Perform regular, unannounced inspections of work areas to ensure adherence to safety measures.
• Approve workspaces post-task completion, ensuring they meet safety standards.
• Monitor compliance with internal and external safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively manage safety risks.
• Report on safety performance and suggest improvements.
• Provide safety training and guidance to staff.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency in German (minimum B1 level).
• Educational background in industrial apprenticeship or a degree in process/machine engineering.
• Familiarity with MS Office programs.
• Strong ability to conduct risk assessments and manage safety protocols.
