Proclinical is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join a dynamic team in Belgium. In this role, you will manage supplier relationships and execute purchasing strategies to support supply chain operations. You will play a key role in onboarding suppliers, analyzing performance, and contributing to financial reporting. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including operational teams, suppliers, and business units.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including order placement, delivery, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Manage supplier onboarding and participate in evaluations, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
- Forecast purchasing needs based on historical data and business plans.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and health guidelines.
- Maintain accurate system data and adhere to supplier management procedures.
- Train internal stakeholders on purchasing policies and tools.
- Validate the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Drive operational efficiency and cost reduction through project participation.
- Lead or support ad hoc purchasing and supplier management initiatives.
- Align purchasing goals with business objectives and long-term sourcing strategies.
- Actively participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in Supply Chain, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with ISO13485 standards is advantageous.
- Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to process improvement.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills with local and global colleagues and suppliers.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
- Customer-oriented with strong communication and financial skills.
- Hands-on, optimistic, and detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stress effectively.
- Must be able to commute to Machelen.
