Proclinical is seeking a Project Technical Lead to oversee the end-to-end process of identifying, evaluating, and conceptualizing Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) technologies for IV bag production. This role involves translating strategic innovation goals into actionable plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational standards. You will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive concept designs and driving innovation from ideation to execution.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and technical specifications for AVI in IV bag applications.
- Conduct technology scouting, including vendor landscape analysis and proof-of-concept roadmaps.
- Request and analyze budgetary quotations and perform vendor evaluations using structured methodologies.
- Lead feasibility studies with vendors and document outcomes.
- Design process layouts and develop holistic concept designs.
- Facilitate supplier feedback and refine technical and commercial proposals.
- Recommend preferred suppliers and ensure smooth handover to the Basic Design phase.
- Ensure project readiness and alignment with timelines over a 36-month period.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Strong background in process engineering and visual inspection technologies, ideally in parenteral or IV bag manufacturing.
- Expertise in supplier management, including vendor assessment, contracting, and performance verification.
- Experience in developing URS, managing vendors, and conducting feasibility studies.
- Familiarity with cGMP regulatory requirements and pharmaceutical automation.
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in visual inspection, including data requirements and algorithm validation.
- Proven ability to scout, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies such as AI in AVI.
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to vendor sites and internal facilities.
