Procurement Project Manager

Proclinical is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to manage procurement activities for investment projects. This role involves strategic planning and execution of procurement processes, focusing on the construction of manufacturing, laboratory, and office facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for projects ranging from 5 to 500 million in value.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate the Procurement Execution Strategy for assigned projects.
• Oversee commercial aspects of procurement, including expediting, contract management, and contract closeout for goods and services.
• Manage the Procurement Master Plan to ensure timely reporting and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with project procurement teams, procurement management, project directors, engineers, and support functions.
• Engage with key third-party collaborators such as EPCM, EPC, or main trade or equipment suppliers.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in Capex project and procurement management, preferably in the pharma or biotech sectors.
• Background in plant construction and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in English; German is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork skills, especially in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Initiative and resilience in dynamic environments.
• Technical training in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering is beneficial.
