Primary Responsibilities:
This role focuses on developing and executing impactful strategies within the pre-clinical sector. You will manage significant budgets and collaborate with various stakeholders to align early development outsourcing strategies with downstream activities.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or Supply Chain; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in sourcing and procurement, particularly in pre-clinical and research services.
- Proficiency in procurement technologies like Workday Strategic Sourcing.
- Knowledge of outsourcing discovery and development services.
- Strong skills in laboratory consumables and equipment management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
The Procurement Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Develop and implement sourcing category strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Deliver procurement projects that achieve cost savings and other benefits.
- Serve as the primary procurement contact for stakeholders.
- Manage ad-hoc projects supporting broader procurement and finance goals.
- Create and optimize supplier relationships and performance.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure clear communication of roles.
- Lead complex negotiations and manage agreements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with policies and collaborate with the quality team.
- Oversee vendor selection processes, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ execution.
