Proclinical is seeking a remote National Sales Director with a pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will provide management and oversight of the sales team, and successful execution of sales strategy across the Company's customer segments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and execute sales strategies in support of the Company's Annual Plan.
  • Provide critical insights in the development of sales strategies for product introduction and growth across all market segments.
  • Maximize sales effectiveness through appropriate sales force structure, sizing, and optimal territory alignment.
  • Provide critical insights in the development of forecasts and KPIs for reporting, planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.
  • Hire, train, develop, set performance expectations, and lead sales team in the achievement of sales goals.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sales training program.
  • Set and communicate sales goals that are aligned with and in support of the Annual Plan; hold the sales team accountable for achievement.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics.
  • Develop sales force sizing requirements and territory alignment model to support future growth and new product launches.
  • Assess market potential to sales resources and recommend market-driven approach to optimize ROI.
  • Analyze sales and market trends to optimize sales strategy and maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Sales Account Managers to achieve performance objectives through effective coaching, mentoring, utilization of resources, and performance management process.
  • Develop sales team by observing Sales Account Managers' interactions with key customers, providing them with individual mentorship and feedback to develop them for success in current role and for future growth.
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics in the development of sales dashboards to motivate sales team and provide information on key performance metrics. Engage with both Salesforce.com and Tableau and encourage use across sales team to garner best insights.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the development and implementation of marketing plans and programs. Provide insights and assist with the development of sales strategies as defined in the annual marketing plan.
  • Work closely with logistics personnel in the development of inventory management programs with key customers.
  • Develop appropriate sales training programs, onboarding, product based, and annual refreshers, to ensure sales team is positioned for success and operates within compliance guidelines.
  • Build, manage, and solidify long-term business relationships with key customers in the development of partnerships and affiliation arrangements.
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives, practices, and services to capitalize on customer-focused growth and retention.
  • Develop, allocate and manage sales budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all company's policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by COO.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or similar industry. MBA, preferred.
  • 15+ years' experience at Director level leading pharmaceutical sales with demonstrated understanding of federal/state government contracted environments.
  • 5+ years' experience building and leading sales teams.
  • Experience launching branded or generic pharmaceutical products into government managed markets.
  • Advanced computer/technology/CRM skills, reporting, data analytics, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Advanced experience utilizing Salesforce.com.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience with public health clinic/340B program, preferred.

  • Proven ability to attract, retain, and engage high performing sales force.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated multi-functional collaboration and project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, excel under stress, and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working cross-functionally and collaboratively at all levels.
  • Willingness and ability to directly engage in task operations of a small, mutually respectful, mission-focused company.
  • Up to 80% as business needs require.
