Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Materials Planning Specialist to support manufacturing planning for clinical and commercial programs. You will collaborate with various departments to resolve raw material issues, manage inventory levels, and ensure smooth delivery processes. Your role will involve lifecycle management of Master Data and ensuring efficient data flow in production planning and manufacturing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and control raw materials inventory, including demand forecasting, safety stock management, and expiry reporting.
- Revise and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other production-related documents.
- Support new item creation and Master Data enrichment.
- Review vendor change notifications and facilitate cross-functional discussions to manage inventory impacts.
- Assist in tech transfers and maintain manufacturing bills of materials.
- Analyze data for quarterly expired and obsolete reports and discuss findings with the planning team.
- Participate in site leadership meetings and escalate issues as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supply chain management within a GMP-regulated industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvements.
- Proficient in communication across departments and management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as Oracle, Trackwise, and others.
- Understanding of QA and cGMP principles.
- Technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
