Lab Manager - Philadelphia, PA - Permanent

Proclinical is seeking a Lab Manager for a dynamic and innovative lab that focuses on understanding chromatin-to-synapse communication during neural circuit activation in the mammalian brain. This is a permanent position located in Philadelphia, PA.

The Lab Manager will:

• Become proficient in operating all lab equipment and train new lab members.
• Lead negotiations with vendors for equipment replacement and repair.
• Supervise and maintain an orderly, clean, and organized laboratory.
• Lead lab safety efforts, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee lab inventory management.
• Organize lab's cold room, freezers, and maintain lab member space within freezers.
• Allocate bench and desk space and create strategic maps as the lab grows.
• Revise and monitor duty assignments according to feedback from lab members.
• Facilitate animal husbandry paperwork and write up yearly IACUC applications.
• Organize lab social events, meetings, and seminars.
• Coordinate room reservations for lab meetings, committee meetings, and departmental requirements.
• Update the shared lab Google calendar with important meetings, talks, and social events.
• Interview lab candidates and curate applications for initial screenings.
