Lab Manager - Contract - Fully Remote

Primary Responsibilities:
This position is in place to oversee and streamline operational activities with external laboratory partners. You will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring efficient collaboration and integration across various departments to support clinical trials. This role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships and resolving issues with external labs.
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in laboratory project management, particularly in central labs.
- Background in science or medical technology.
- Understanding of the clinical drug development process and clinical trials.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
The Lab Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Serve as the primary liaison between external laboratory partners and internal teams for seamless execution of outsourced clinical trial elements.
- Provide oversight and solutions for laboratory issues, ensuring effective relationship management.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Sample Management, Data Management, and Precision Medicine.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with external laboratory partner escalations.
- Develop and maintain training and reference documents with external laboratory partners.
- Lead process improvements and initiatives at external laboratory partners.
- Review quality events/CAPAs to ensure corrective and preventive actions are effective.
- Support quality audits and scientific alignment with external laboratory partners.
- Monitor and enhance key stakeholder performance at external laboratory partners.
Compensation:
- $60 to $70 per hour.
