Proclinical is seeking a Lab Coordinator to support the execution of research studies.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to manage laboratory requirements and ensure compliance with study protocols. This role involves training, study preparation, and active participation in study conduct, with a focus on maintaining professionalism and accuracy in all lab-related activities.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in phlebotomy.
- Experience in lab processing is preferred.
- Strong ability to follow precise instructions.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements is an advantage.
- High school diploma required.
- Phlebotomy certification and/or relevant experience is preferred.
The Lab Coordinator's responsibilities will be:
- Complete and maintain required training, including SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and IATA certification for hazardous goods shipment.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and sponsor-specific guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is functional and reporting any issues to Site Managers.
- Manage lab supplies, including ordering, inventory, and storage, ensuring readiness before study start.
- Review and train on lab manuals, flow charts, and package inserts for CLIA-waived tests.
- Collect, process, store, and package biological specimens as per study protocols and lab manuals.
- Monitor and document sample storage conditions, addressing any deviations immediately.
- Schedule courier pick-ups for samples and ensure timely delivery.
- Print, route, and file lab reports, ensuring they are reviewed and signed by the Investigator.
- Address lab queries promptly to avoid delays in results.
- Maintain accurate records of stored samples and their requirements.
- Assist with study close-out procedures and other delegated tasks as needed.
