Proclinical are partnering with a pharmaceutical organisation who are recruiting for an individual to join their team. This role is on a permanent basis. The opening position is for a Global Procurement Manager - Direct Categories.

Responsibilities:

Guide core category meetings with business associates, crafting a developing supplier landscape.
You might guide improvement initiative and workstreams to assist the broader team as well as delivery of procurement goals.
Collaborate with colleagues in global procurement services, Poland to initiate source to contract actions.
Recognise the company's SOPs, compliance, ethics and processes.
Manage the business relations with crucial suppliers, on behalf of personnel and the business, arrange and run the procurement procedure and customer satisfaction.
Work alongside the business collaborators to deliver RFPs and statement of works.
Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to a degree level or corresponding qualifications within life science.
Comprehension of pharmaceutical organisations.
Expertise on new biotechnology platforms.
At least 7 years of experience in procurement/business development roles.
At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within a biotech or pharma organisation.
Project management skills with the ability to manage own time efficiently.
Capable of handling supplier relationships, negotiating and influencing others.
Knowledge in at least one procurement area with proficiency in various others.
Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Works well with others.
Project management experience.
An individual who is comfortable with taking risks and taking on ambiguous situations.
