Proclinical is seeking a Global Finance Manager to oversee financial operations in Europe. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Dutch regulations, and effective financial planning and analysis. As a key business partner to local and regional leadership, you will provide financial insights to support decision-making while maintaining strong internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in line with IFRS and/or Dutch GAAP (RJ).
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
- Oversee compliance with Dutch tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, wage tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and act as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities.
- Maintain robust internal controls and support SOX or equivalent frameworks where applicable.
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Support strategic initiatives, investments, and business cases with detailed financial analysis.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet items.
- Manage local banking relationships and payment processes.
- Support risk management activities, including credit risk and financial exposure.
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, Sales, and regional finance teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to local management and regional finance leadership.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and international finance regulations.
- Experience working in or with European markets, preferably the Netherlands.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, alongside required proficiency in Dutch.
