External Manufacturing Manager

Proclinical is partnered with a prestigious global biotechnology company that is seeking an accountable and results-driven External Manufacturing Manager to become an integral part of their dynamic team based in Belgium. This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead the operational oversight of global Contract Manufacturers and strategic vendors, ensuring excellence and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the department of External Manufacturing Operations, Drug Product, and Devices.
• Serve as the key contact for CDMO/vendor management, including relationship management and business support.
• Lead cross-functional Vendor Teams to ensure continuous supply of compliant products and services.
• Potentially manage a team of Operations Leads, depending on the specific position.
• Oversee projects and programs from early phase development to commercialization, including new product introductions and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical support to affiliate teams managing local CMOs.
• Support due diligence activities and implement the organization's industrial manufacturing strategy for local and global CDMOs.
• Represent the External Manufacturing Team in transversal project and improvement programs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Master's degree with significant operations management experience in a GMP environment (drug product and device manufacturing).
• Experience in Pharmaceutical Project Management.
• Strong technical knowledge in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, ideally in both drug product and devices.
• Familiarity with the latest Regulatory requirements and best practices to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
• Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel outside Belgium several times per year.
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams, influence others, hold teams accountable, and manage complex projects from development through commercialization.
• Competence in managing external business partners and relationships to achieve results.
