Proclinical is currently recruiting a Director of Product Design for a fast-growing online education company located in Seattle, WA. Successful candidate will lead our product design team to define and execute delightful, intuitive, user experiences for our various products. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader with the opportunity to bring your experience to a growing company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage design team capacity and delivering objectives on time at the highest quality that meets user and business needs.
  • Develop a scalable user research and usability testing processes and resources for product design. Enhance and expand existing user research techniques and practices.
  • Hire top design talent, manage performance, and coach and mentor your team.
  • Present and get feedback on design vision, with your design team and leadership.
  • Use insights from user feedback, analytics, and user research and usability findings to guide UX strategy and ongoing improvements.
  • Collaborate with designers and development to implement style guides, and usability patterns to drive efficiency and consistency into our user experience.
  • Establish and communicate effective design processes.
  • Work closely with product management, development, design, and leadership to create and align a product strategy and roadmap that supports our users' needs and achieves business goals.
  • Benchmark progress against strategic goals and KPI's, present and report to leadership.
  • Stay current with healthcare and UX innovations and technology.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of hands-on digital product design experience.
  • Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • A degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, psychology or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and story-telling skills.
  • An online portfolio demonstrating your strategic, conceptual thinking and ability to solve complex UX design problems.
  • Proficient understanding of modern front-end languages to communicate with developers and understand design constraints.
