Proclinical is seeking a proactive and skilled Data Scientist to support ongoing projects during a maternity leave. In this role, you will maintain and optimize data integration pipelines, contribute to AI model development, and ensure the seamless continuation of R&D workflows. This position requires hands-on expertise in data science and a commitment to delivering impactful results from day one.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and troubleshoot existing data integration pipelines to ensure data quality and availability for AI models.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to support training, validation, and optimization of machine learning and AI models.
- Perform data analysis to extract insights, address research questions, and deliver clear reports.
- Address technical challenges related to data access, software limitations, and model performance.
- Work closely with the team to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of processes and modifications to systems.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with ETL principles and data pipeline management.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and models.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within technical teams.
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles.
- Experience with image analysis techniques.
