Clinical Finance Specialist - Permanent- Fort Worth TX
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Finance Specialist.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing global site-specific budgets, creating, negotiating, and processing site contracts for clinical trials. This role requires a robust understanding of the clinical trial process and the management of clinical trial-related contracting.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience in Clinical Trials and/or Study Budget development.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent Critical Thinking Skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with multiple levels of the organization.
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Information Systems. Knowledge in CTMS, Contract Management System, and Grants Manager is preferred.
- Detailed understanding of the clinical trial process and robust understanding of the management of clinical trial-related contracting.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
The Clinical Finance Specialist's responsibilities will be:
- Support Clinical R&D to define the study budget during the planning phase for a clinical study.
- Develop and negotiate site budgets, ensuring that the agreements with the Clinical Sites are advantageous.
- Minimize regulatory, legal, and financial risks through close collaborations with functional partners such as Legal, Finance, and functional lines.
- Secure all necessary company approvals for budgets and contracts.
- Resolve site budget issues through close collaborations with functional partners.
- Proactively monitor and assist with operational and financial metrics of ongoing studies.
- May cross-train to manage payments to clinical vendors.
