Chemist - Contract - Richmond, VA

Proclinical is seeking a Chemist with a strong background in analytical chemistry. This is a contract position located in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement technical strategies in analytical chemistry, contributing to innovation within the Consumer Healthcare network. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of analytical method development and various detection technologies. Experience in product or formulation development is a plus, but not a requirement.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Analytical chemistry.
• Familiarity with analytical method development and various detection technologies.
• Ability to perform varied aspects of scientific disciplines such as separation sciences, organic chemistry, spectroscopy.
• Ability to develop methods and conduct testing of dietary supplements and drug products in development.
• Willingness to learn formulation development and work in product development with supervision and training as necessary.

The chemist will:

• Execute technical strategies in analytical chemistry.
• Perform various aspects of scientific disciplines such as separation sciences, organic chemistry, spectroscopy.
• Develop methods and conduct testing of dietary supplements and drug products in development, ensuring rapid results to facilitate agile product development.
• Learn formulation development as required.
• Work in product development under supervision and training as necessary.
