Chemist - Contract - Richmond, VA

Proclinical is seeking a Chemist with a strong background in analytical chemistry. This is a contract position located in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to develop and implement technical strategies in analytical chemistry, contributing to innovation within the Consumer Healthcare network. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of analytical method development and various detection technologies. Experience in product or formulation development is a plus, but not a requirement.

Skills & Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Analytical chemistry.
Familiarity with analytical method development and various detection technologies.
Ability to perform varied aspects of scientific disciplines such as separation sciences, organic chemistry, spectroscopy.
Ability to develop methods and conduct testing of dietary supplements and drug products in development.
Willingness to learn formulation development and work in product development with supervision and training as necessary.

The chemist will:

Execute technical strategies in analytical chemistry.
Perform various aspects of scientific disciplines such as separation sciences, organic chemistry, spectroscopy.
Develop methods and conduct testing of dietary supplements and drug products in development, ensuring rapid results to facilitate agile product development.
Learn formulation development as required.
Work in product development under supervision and training as necessary.
