Proclinical are recruiting for a Biotransformation Scientist to join a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a contract and is located in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- You will analyse in vitro and in vivo samples using LC-HRMS to generate metabolite profiling data.
- Effectively report and share discoveries with team members.
- The ideal candidate will design and perform biotransformation assays to address specific research queries.
- Uphold LC-MS systems within the lab.
- You will develop new analytical strategies for studying innovative chemical compounds.
- Responsible for focusing on mass spectrometry knowledge for small molecules in a pharmaceutical organisation.
- Accountable for analysing samples to assist drug discovery programs.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Educated to a degree level in a chemistry or biochemistry field, though an advanced degree would be ideal.
- Demonstrable experience in drug discovery.
- Competent in high resolution mass spectrometry and chromatography practices.
- Comprehension of biotransformation pathways of NCEs.
- Lab abilities with the capacity to learn new practices.
- An organised individual with a high attention to detail.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Works well with others in a team setting.
