Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer to provide technical support for operational technology (OT) infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT systems within process control systems (PCS). This role focuses on system lifecycle management, upgrades, and data management for new equipment. You will play a key role in project management, IT-OT activities, and training, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute projects related to system improvements and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support for OT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with users and service groups to address technical needs.
  • Support change control processes, including technical aspects and documentation.
  • Define and understand user requirements for modifications and improvements.
  • Prepare cost estimations and calculations for technical modifications.
  • Develop and review functional and design specifications.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and GAMP guidelines.
  • Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of OT lifecycle management, Windows OS, Linux, and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
  • Experience with OT-IT architectures, including routing, subnets, VLANs, firewall rules, and industrial networks (Ethernet IP).
  • Proficiency in databases such as Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity management, patching processes, and application updates.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, HMI, communication protocols, and data management layers.
  • Ability to write functional and design specifications.
  • Methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills and technical curiosity.
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English for technical purposes.
