Proclinical is seeking an Automation Technician to provide technical support for operational technology (OT) infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT systems within process control systems (PCS). This role focuses on ensuring smooth operations, compliance with industry standards, and effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and investigate IT-OT activities to ensure system functionality and security.
  • Provide technical support for OT infrastructure, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with change control owners to implement requirements effectively.
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation.
  • Support audits by ensuring compliance and readiness.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as IT, manufacturing, engineering, validation, and quality teams.
  • Engage with external suppliers to address technical needs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Educational background in Industrial IT-Automation OT or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Knowledge of GMP environments, change management, and validation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and patching processes, including Windows application updates.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity management and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet IP, VLANs, firewall rules).
  • Experience with Linux OS, SCADA, HMI, communication protocols, and automation OT software.
  • Knowledge of database management systems like Oracle and MS SQL. Experience with data management layers such as OPC UA.
  • Ability to write functional and design specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical and rigorous approach to work.
  • Technical curiosity and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Fluency in French and technical proficiency in English.
