Proclinical is seeking An AAV Gene Therapy Research Scientist for a leading gene therapy company located in Boston, MA. The successful applicant will join a motivated and dynamic team who will be responsible for working with fellow scientists in contributing to the development of AAV vectors for gene therapy.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and lead AAV production and purification systems to produce research-grade AAV vectors
Contribute to construct design, plasmid prep, transfection, AAV production, and purification
Contribute to experimental design, execution, data analysis, and report
Perform various experiments to screen gene therapy drug candidates
Commitment to writing SOPs and reports

Skills and Requirements:

BS, MS, or Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, virology, immunology, or related discipline required
Hands-on experience with AAV production and purification highly preferred
Familiar with HEK293 cells and/or baculovirus system preferred
Extensive hands-on skills and experience with molecular biology, cell culture techniques, and cell-based assays
Proficient in mammalian cell culture, transfection, Western, ELISA, flow, ddPCR techniques
Experience in cloning DNA constructs in bacterial systems
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Responsible and efficient with the lab assignments
Ability to be highly productive in a fluid, fast-paced team environment
