Vice President, Product Development

Proclinical is currently seeking a Vice President of Product Development for a pharmaceutical company located nationwide. Successful candidate will be reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Product Development will be responsible for all aspects of the client's Product Development Portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

• Serving as a member of the executive team that sets the company's strategic direction for Product Development.
• Leading all aspects of product pipeline and pharmaceutical development.
• Supporting in developing systems for the management and review of projects and provide/develop project tracking reports.
• Ensuring Product Development strategies, budgeting and timelines are consistent with development plans and goals.
• Overseeing Product Development coordination of functions; ensuring optimal development strategies and technical solutions.
• Selecting and managing Product Development CRO's and vendors.
• Working closely with Sales/Marketing, Operations and Regulatory Affairs to develop product pipeline strategies, proposals, FDA discussion documents, presentations and filings.

Skills and Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Life Sciences or related disciplines.
• 12-15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, primarily in formulation and generic pharmaceutical product development.
• Previous product development management experience.
• Extensive formulation and research and development background.
• Proven extensive problem-solving skills and formulation development, and/or R&D.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled at prioritizing and managing timelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
