An internationally renowned pharmaceutical company is currently advertising a QC Technician - Junior to their office in Blackpool. This top 10 pharma company works across multiple sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceutical research, and consumer health. Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations *
  • Ensure compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, and policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Carry out the chemical and physical testing of in-process mills, powder blends, and liquid blends to ensure that the quality of CMW products is maintained.
  • Ensure that all appropriate testing is conducted and completed as required.
  • Carry out the chemical and physical testing of finished products to ensure that the quality of CMW products is maintained.
  • Carry out in-process production inspection tasks to ensure that the quality of CMW products is maintained.
  • Assist raw material inspection and testing, as required, to ensure the timely approval of products.
  • Complete and maintain the appropriate documentation relating to the inspection activities in accordance with necessary Regulations.
  • Participate in Validation of new equipment or test methods as assigned by the Quality Control Group Leader and to work with production to ensure all processes are fully and correctly validated.
  • Train new staff and develop existing staff in the application of all test procedures and inspection strategies.
  • Follow and promote Company, H S & E, and Quality standards to enable the site to achieve and maintain excellent results.
  • Carry out further tasks that maybe delegated by the immediate Manager.
  • Ensure that all routine testing is performed in a timely manner in line with agreed schedules.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum educational level of Degree Level (or equivalent) in a relevant science discipline or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality related role.
  • Minimum of 2-year industry (relevant) experience in a science-based discipline, preferably Chemistry
  • To further ensure that the quality of CMW products is maintained.
  • Proven ability in a scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer skills, such as MS Office.
