A Fantastic new role has just opened up at one of our leading Swiss based clients offering the successful candidate the opportunity to join a hard-working team working on exciting projects in the pharmaceutical sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead new product implementation projects within the clients microbial network.
• New customer processes are required to be fit into existing manufacturing assets with finding optimal set-up between manufacturing throughput and simplicity of facility fit. Once the efficient set-up for the new implementation has been worked-out the engineering project has to established and led through the different phases.
• The project team is normally assembled with delegates from Operations/MSAT/QA/Engineering & Qualification.
• The incumbent of this role should be a project management driven character with the ability to pay attention to details in the field, e.g. scheduling and leading of detailed work in a highly automated environment.
• Lead process to evaluate optimal facility fit for the implementation of new customer products:
  • Establish close liaison with Program Management in order to properly collect all required process data from new customer.
  • Organize Process Simulation (Time & Motion) studies with internal or external support
  • With results from studies establish the optimal setup for the new process
  • Optimal Setups have to be found with respect to low batch cycle and changeover times vs. CAPEX and schedule requirements (shut-downs).
• Lead Technical Project:
  • Planning and realization of investmentprojects with direct impact on running manufacturing assets.
  • Lead feasibility studies to demonstrate feasibility, perform CAPEX cost estimations, develop project schedules to establish required new functionality of the respective facility.
  • Establish all required RiskAnalysis and measure implementation
  • Handover the modified and qualified new set-ups to Manufacturing Operations
• Develop pro-fund technical solutions
  • Provide process engineering based solution for microbial processes. (Media Prep / Fermentation / Primary Recovery / Purification / Bulk Fill)
  • Solutions have to be embedded into a highly automated environment

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc in Process Engineering or similar, preferred area of study: Process / Chemical / Biotech Engineering
• 2-3 years' experience in Pharma or Biotech industry
• Biotech/Pharma Manufacturing Processes / Project Management / CAPEX projects 2 to 10 MCHF
• Business Fluency in English and German
